Dear Parents,
Words are not going to be enough to express and share how much FUN we had celebrating being part of the ISP community! We had an AWESOME time during Spirit Week and hopefully these pictures will transmit that spirit and good feelings to you :)
We have had a great week showing off our school spirit! On Monday, we were so comfy wearing pajamas, and we enjoyed our nap time much more than we expected! The next day, we were proud to be ballerinas, soccer players, characters and the best of all to be part of a beautiful and unique community.
Our Blue-Out day was a great success, and we even took a fantastic picture representing the 35 years of ISP. We finished our spirit week with many activities out in the sun. Our school mascot came to our PK area and we shouted LETS GO DOLPHINS, LETS GO! Around the elementary school we followed, the Worldwide Day of Play , which is an annual event, designed to encourage children and parents to turn off the television and play, especially outdoors.
Besides all these wonderful things, we have not stopped learning; we classified and counted rocks. Moreover, we enjoyed the beauty of the minerals by breaking and analyzing some rocks. We also asked them some open ended questions such as: how are rocks formed? What are minerals and what types of minerals are the best to build a house?
When we return to school, we will have a week of Volcanoes and Dinosaurs (fossils) Soon we will be celebrating Bringing Literature to Life, where the children will have a chance to learn about different authors and their features of books. More details are to come.
I hope you have had a wonderful week off!
