For the Week of November 16th, 2015

WOW! This is going to be a busy week! Stock up on an extra dose of Wheaties, coffee, or whatever you take in order to keep you going!!!!

Regardless, we will all get through it and thankfully, our Thanksgiving Break is on the horizon! :-)

In honor of just how busy we all are - I will keep our Staff Weekly Update short and sweet!

Also, due to the two day week next week, there will be NO Staff Weekly Update for the week of November 23rd. Instead, the next one will be for the week of November 30th.

Meet Senna! She was born with multiple, life-threatening food allergies and asthma, which she now loves to teach others about dealing with in a positive way. Take 5 Minutes to View This incredible Ted Talk! It's sure to make you smile!

One more thought . . . it's also a great video to show other students in order to discuss their public speaking skills for when they have to present projects! This makes me think of Specialty Fair, Insect Expo, Famous Hoosiers, etc . . .

However, she will ALSO be in charge of our Facebook & Twitter account. Don't be surprised if she attends special school events in order to get pictures or even a brief statement from you. Also, if you have a special event coming up that you'd like to showcase - let Alison know! She will be happy to come by and take a quick picture to tweet out & post on FB. Thank you, Alison!

Important Message Regarding Storage Spaces

If you have any items you need to save and you absolutely cannot keep it in your classroom, please know that it CANNOT be stored in the following two areas:

  • boiler room/mechanical room downstairs near the custodial office
  • upstairs in the air handler room/mechanical room near the elevator.

The item(s) could be anything from boxes, shelving units, furniture, bulletin boards, etc.

If you have something you need to store in the building and it cannot be stored in your classroom or planning room, please speak with Alison, Martha, or Connie for an appropriate and approved location.

We must be compliant with rules set by the fire marshall. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

K-Cups

Friends, we are running low on K-cups, as you can probably tell! If you'd like to donate some for our K-cup holder, we would greatly appreciate it, but please don't feel obligated. You are welcome to continue to bring your own.

The office staff will be asking parents for K-cups on our "holiday wish list" and we will also add this item to our Staff "Favorites" List during the week of Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. As they are gifted to us, we will be happy to donate them to our K-cup holder to share with everyone!
