Superintendent Report
Alice Froemling from North High School introduced Bridget Nelis Editor in Chief of the Stargazer newspaper and announced that she has been named to the 2022 Illinois Journalism Education Association All-State Team.
According to the IJEA, the All-State team was instated “to recognize those students who are “most valuable players” — those students whose leadership, energy, dedication and expertise make their publications possible but whose main contributions often occur behind the scenes.”
Dr. Christine Igoe, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, and Mr. Justin Attaway, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, introduced the Administration's recommended candidates for 3 administrative positions.

Introduction of New Munhall Principal
Jarrod Buxton, current Principal of Munhall, and the Munhall interview team introduced Mr. Zachary Minelli as the recommended candidate for the principalship.
Shanna Lewis, Principal of St. Charles North High School, announced two staff members who were honored as Educators of the Year at the Regional Office of Education Banquet on April 30.

A salary increase pool of 5% for 2022-2023 will be distributed by the Superintendent.

Review of FY 21-22 Amended Budget on Public Display and Schedule Public Hearing
- Motion passed by a vote of 7-0
This has been an unprecedented year in which to predict a budget that would meet the various needs of the students and community. While it is common for the District to do a budget amendment, this year there are more modifications that will be necessary than during a typical year. The tentative budget will be on display for 30 days and a public hearing will be held on June 13 to receive comments. The Board will be asked to approve the budget the same night.

SCESP Agreement
- Motion passed by a vote of 6-0 with 1 abstention
An agreement has been reached between the District and the St. Charles Educational Support Professionals Union.
Approval of the 2022-2023 Board Meeting Schedule
- Motion passed by a vote of 7-0
The regular Board meeting schedule was approved for the next school year. Committee meetings will be set at a later date.
Motion to Adjourn Sine Die
The motion to adjourn to Sine Die for the purpose of electing Board officers was approved 7-0.
Motion to Appoint President/Secretary Pro Tem
- Motion passed by a vote of 7-0
Tammy Marsan was temporarily appointed President/Secretary for the purpose of officer elections.
Nomination and Election of Board President
Mrs. Fairgrieve was elected as Board President by a vote of 7-0.
The Board thanked Mrs. Barker for her contributions as President of the School Board
Nomination and Election of Board Vice President
Mr. Lackner was elected as Board Vice President by a vote of 7-0.
Nomination and Election of Board Secretary
Mrs. McCabe was elected as Board Secretary by a vote of 7-0.

Mr. Justin Attaway, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, was elected as Board Treasurer by a vote of 7-0.
