Counselor's Corner

This month we are discussing mindfulness. It is focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, & senses. We use mindfulness to be aware of how our actions and words impact those around us. We do our best to remain in a positive frame of mind. We practice deep breathing techniques to keep a calm and steady heartbeat when situations don't go as planned.
