1st Annual Pumpkin Festival A Success
Thank you to all who participated in the library’s first annual Pumpkin Festival. We had over 60 pumpkins decorating the library as favorite book characters and teacher-look-alikes. The library hummed all week long with comments about the pumpkins’ creativity, as well as with exclamations over favorite characters as students discovered them. Thank you for supporting this event. We hope to see you again at next year’s festival!
Veteran's Day Celebration
We are planning a special Veteran’s Day celebration on Tuesday, November 11th. Our students will be writing thank you postcards to family members who are active or former service members. In addition, we will be hosting a very special lunch for current or veteran service members. If your child has a friend or family member who would like to join us for lunch, please click here to complete and return the special invitation, or complete the paper form coming home with the students today.
We would like to prepare a special visual representation of our gratitude. If you have an active or veteran family member or friend, and would like to share some pictures with us to use in the preparation of this tribute, please consider scanning and emailing the pictures to us at svass@cbsd.org. If you do not have access to a scanner, we would be happy to scan them and return them to you. Thank you for helping to make our celebration special!!!

November Conferences
We are fast approaching our November Conferences for Parents, Teachers, and Students. On Friday, November 7th, your child's/children's teacher(s) will be forwarding you a link to sign-up for the fall conferences.
During this conference, your child's "Conference Report" will be referenced. This report will focus on his/her academic achievement, strengths as a learner, and goals for future growth. The Conference Report will serve as a springboard for conversations around student learning thus far, as well as goal setting for the future.
- As a reminder, if you have not created a Log-in for the Parent Portal, please do so ASAP. Your child's Conference Report will be accessible electronically via the Parent Portal on November 19th. Click HERE to follow the link below for information on how to create a log-in.
- Attention Kindergarten Families: The kindergarten reporting process will remain the same as in past years. Paper copies will be sent home; there are no changes to the Kindergarten Reporting process.
