Outstanding Mission Projects!

We would like to give a BIG thank you to everyone for all the OUTSTANDING mission projects! They were incredibly creative and so detailed. We applaud your efforts and the time spent on this project and invite you to come view them on display in the library. As the end of the quarter nears, we will be slowly returning them.

FIELD TRIP IS THIS WEEK!

There are still permission slips that need to be returned in. Your child will not be allowed to attend without returned signed permission slip.

This Week's Learning

Math: Understand and explain the difference between prime and composite numbers, find the factors of a number using factor rainbows, and understand the rule for divisibility and find the factors of a given number.

Reading: Make inferences and give evidence from the text to support inference, find the main idea using story Keeping Close to Nature's Heart.

Writing: Create poems of more than 1 stanza.

Grammar: Form and use the progressive verb form, review past grammar lessons.

Social Studies: California Mission report.

Science: Investigate the properties of minerals, investigate how rocks differ from one another and understand the rock cycle.

    In an effort to best support your child at home with the math, examples of correct models and methods will be sent home for each chapter. Your child should have received examples of Chapter 4 Lessons 4.1-4.12. Copies are also included below for your reference.
