Make Each Day Count!
It is hard to believe that there are only two school weeks left in 2019! It will be important for us to remember the Muhammad Ali quote, "Don't count the days, make the days count." Each moment with our students is an opportunity to better them as students and as individuals. Seize each moment and use instructional time wisely.
Thank you for all that you do to make our small school special!
Have a great week!

- Please consider joining in the festivities going on in Micro this Saturday. The parade begins at 4:00. Micro Elementary will be walking, giving high fives, and passing out candy. Join our group!
- *****Our Arrival/Dismissal and Duty Assignments have been updated. Please review so that you are aware of updates. Aftercare students will now gather in the front lobby with day care van students. Let's do out best to stick to our timeframes. It is important that we are maximizing instructional time and not packing up/dismissing too early.
- Please be sure that you join the Micro Remind Group: https://www.remind.com/join/microele?utm_source=email&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=join_invite
- Looking for a way to jazz up slide shows? Here is a template you can copy that includes slides that look like Netflix and Disney +.
- Brittany Sellers (Pre-K) has been approved for voluntary shared leave. See Mrs. Creech if you are interested in donating any leave to her.
- Nominate a Micro Elementary Staff Member for the Leading With a Heart Award.
- HMH has released this document to show the correlations with the Fundations Scope & Sequence and Into Reading. Fundations continues to be the CORE phonics program of JCPS, and it should be used for explicit and systematic instruction in foundational reading skills. If you have time constraints in the ELA block, Fundations should be used and Into Reading materials can be a resource.
Science Kits-We are a Tier 1 Science School. Many schools only have access to one kit per grade level. We have several grade levels that have up to three kits. The expectation is that the kits are used.
