From CARNIVAL VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Dear Friends,
It is Countdown To Carnival time!!!!!! As you know, this beloved event requires many caring volunteers. This year we are making it even easier for you to sign up for your carnival shift! Our talented Kim McKinstry has created an online sign-up sheet. Please find the link at the bottom of this letter, and click on it to open the sign-up sheet. Look at the tabs along the bottom of the document to find either your child’s grade level, or your child’s specific class. Click on the tab, pick your shift, and enter your name! It’s a quick and easy way to sign up to be a part of the fun!
I am the volunteer coordinator for the Carnival this year, and am happy to answer any questions or assist you in signing up if you have difficulty with the link. Please feel free to call, text or email me with any sign up issues. Thanks in advance for your time, and for making this special day possible for our children!
Sincerely,
Lisa Bond
SPIRITUALITY
Saints Serving Saints, our faculty/staff community service initiative, has a lot going on! The S.O.M.E. group (So Others May Eat) is currently taking up a school-wide collection to benefit Some Other Place. This collection will take place through the end of the school year. All donated items should be brought to your student's homeroom class. Dr. Willard will be delivering these items to Some Other Place each Friday beginning April 5, 2013. Here are the items needed as outlined by Paula O'Neal, Director of SOP:
- Pots and pans/anything you can fry or cook in - they don't have to be new, just clean.
- Underwear for men and women - these should be new; women's sizes should be "small."
- Body wash, deodorant, razors, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes
Thank you for helping All Saints help others!
The Feed My Sheep group prepared a hot meal and served it to the homeless yesterday afternoon at Weiss Park in downtown Beaumont. See photos below. Read more about Saints Serving Saints in the 2012-2013 Annual Report.
