I still need to make some tweaks to the NWEA schedule, but that should be out early this upcoming week.
Don't forget that we have the Culver's Fundraiser on Tuesday, January 7th from 5-8 PM. Here is the schedule for volunteers. I received a ton of emails (because you all are awesome!) so if I missed anyone on the schedule, feel free to add yourself in and blocking off the time you can participate. Thank you again for the support! It should be a fun evening!

I hope all of you had a well-deserved break filled with rest, relaxation, reflection and self-care. Many of you may have seen this but if anyone needed some added inspiration this week- well, here you go. Listen to the interview with the director then watch the entire video. I am moved by the transformation that happens before your eyes! We see this with our students. We see them grow, become more confident and find strength in their challenges that shift to successes. As we move to the fast-paced second half of the school year we are going to see these transformations- in our students and shall I say, in ourselves. I know that I am learning every day and if I sit and take the time to reflect, can see shifts in my thinking, practice and actions. Although there is SO much more to come, we all need to take time to celebrate how far we have already come this school year. There are certain students that immediately jump to my mind- you may have the same ones or see growth/success where I have not had the opportunity. Step out into the ring with me because this is our moment! CELEBRATE!

Indoor Recess:
Indoor Recess:
1. Students may only be in their own classroom. They are not allowed to travel from classroom to classroom.
2. Students must be in a classroom- not in the hallways
3. Teachers- please only give 2-3 options for activities for students to participate in. Once a student has chosen an activity, they should stick with it the entire recess.
4. Please post their options someplace visible (door, whiteboard, TV, etc) for noon supervisors or myself to help manage your room.
5. Currently, on Thursdays and Fridays we are severely short-handed. If you have suggestions on how to actively supervise multiple classrooms, please share.
6. Any other feedback on lunch or recess is welcome.
