Self Care Challenge
A simple approach to practicing self-care
This is a week-by-week roadmap offering suggestions for self-care in 5 unique categories. You can do one activity per day or combine these activities for a more thorough self-care experience. This is a self-guided program. The goal is for each participant to do the activities recommended or choose their own activity from the categories listed below. The goal is to complete at least one item from each category every week for four weeks.
Detox
Create a phone free zone for a day or two …or maybe forever. Consider areas where people gather like the dinner table or kids’ playroom.
Declutter
Fill a shoebox with old knickknacks, gadgets, and papers and dispose of them appropriately.
Meditation
Subtle but Powerful:
Today, observe the impulses. Become aware of old patterns rooted in agitation, confusion, and impatience and remember you have a choice when an impulse like this arises.
Between stimulus and response is the power to choose. Choose wisely.
