National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated from September 15 to October 15, honors Latinos who have greatly contributed, influenced, and enriched our culture and society. It is a great opportunity to teach children about the history and traditions of Latino culture.

In honor of this month, we are asking families of Hispanic descent to share a family photo to display in our school. Please include the family name and which country your family represents. We will be collecting photos until September 30, 2022. You could e-mail your photos to

Important Information from the Nurse

* It is always a great idea for ALL students to have a complete change of clothing in their backpacks--Especially Kinder, 1st, and 2nd. Clothes are not just for restroom accidents: spilled food-ketchup, milk, syrup are the most frequent offenders; MUD, lots of mud; paint; cuts, tears, and rips; uncomfortable

* All medications MUST be brought to the clinic by an adult. This includes inhalers and Epipens.

* It has been brought to our attention that some cell phones register the clinic number as SCAM LIKELY. Please program 281-641-5005 as the School Nurse so you will know when we are calling you for your child.

* We will start screening our Grizzlies vision and hearing this month. Please make sure your student is wearing or bringing prescription glasses to school daily.

Thank you!!
