November 30, 2018

Hello, Everyone -

Wow! What a fast and COLD week we have had. It was so nice to welcome the students and teachers back from Thanksgiving break. I hope you all had a wonderful time with loved ones and made lots of special memories. This is a special time of year with elementary students. I can promise you that the next three weeks will be gone in a blink! We'll all do our best to keep you informed and up-to-date on all of the events here at school.

I hope you all are making plans to join us tonight for our most popular Chicken Supper of the year. Dinner will be served from 4:00 - 7:00 in the cafeteria.

Children (up to 12) - $7

Adults - $9

Seniors - $8

At 6:00 our school will enjoy Light Up MDCA when we'll all gather in the park and countdown for our Christmas lights to come on. Santa Claus will also make his grand entrance to the Student Center. You'll be able to get a sneak peek at our Santa Cottage gifts that will be set up in the Student Center lobby.

Our students will be shopping in the Santa Cottage on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Your child should have brought home an envelope to hold money and for you to mark the people who will receive gifts.

Please don't forget that this Wednesday, December 5, will be our last scheduled dress attire day of 2018. We'll gather for an all-school chapel in the gym that morning.

I'll be looking for you tonight!

Love,

Mrs. Nichols

Presents for the Panhandle

This year's toy drive is off to a great start. It's great to have our secondary students helping us! It's heartbreaking to think of children having to spend Christmas in a tent. The love shown to these families is so appreciated. If you would like for your child to participate, please have him/her bring an unwrapped gift to school by Friday, December 14. The toys will be loaded on a trailer and taken to Quincy, FL where they will be dispersed to the families needing the most assistance.

Early Dismissal Dates

Please add the following early dismissal dates to your calendar. School will dismiss at 12:15 on the following days:

Wednesday, December 19

Thursday, December 20

Friday, December 21

12 Days of Christmas

Elementary Christmas Performance

You don't want to miss another performance by Miss Leah Richmond and our elementary students. I've been watching them practice and they ROCK! Students will be wearing holiday church attire to the performance.
