Pre-Order School Supplies Now for 2021-22

As a service to parents, the PTA is now selling school supply kits for the 2021-22 school year. Carlson's Paint, Glass and Art store in Wheaton will assemble each kit and will have them ready for your student when they return to school in the fall.

Due to our current circumstances, we will not be accepting paper orders this year. All orders must be placed online by June 27th through Carlson's website. Please note that sales tax will be added to all online orders.

Explore More Day 2021

Explore More Day 2021 will take place in class across the week of June 1. In-person Madison teachers will be doing Explore More Day activities with their students at different times throughout the week. Mr. Callahan will lead an Explore More Day activity for VA students during Tuesdays at 2 on June 1. The Madison PTA will help fund the purchase and coordination of curriculum and supplies for these activities. Special thanks to Mr. Callahan, Mrs. Feeley and all the Madison teachers for making this special event happen!

Free COVID-19 Vaccines

CUSD 200 has partnered with Walgreens to host a vaccine clinic at Pleasant Hill Elementary School on Saturday, May 22. Any community member who is eligible for the vaccine may register to get one at the clinic. Learn more and register online.

District 200 Summer Learning Acceleration Opportunities

COVID-19 has impacted students in all different ways. District 200 is taking a comprehensive approach to analyze all students’ needs and determine programming to accelerate learning. This approach includes analyzing multiple data sources. A one-size-fits-all approach cannot meet all students' needs to accelerate learning; therefore, numerous summer opportunities have been designed. The full list of summer learning opportunities can be found on the District website at www.cusd200.org/summeropportunities. Families should contact their building administrator with questions about these programs.

Join DEI200 for a Virtual Cooking Class

Celebrating the beautiful diversity within District 200 through cooking is a great way to learn something new about a culture you aren't familiar with, get to know your neighbor, and have a fun family activity to share with your child. During this free, virtual event, Rachel Bautista will be sharing a Bolivian dish. She will walk attendees through the steps of the cooking process and share her insights on the Bolivian recipe. All attendees will receive a grocery list upon registration so they can purchase the ingredients prior to the event.

This event will be held on May 26th at 7 p.m. via Zoom. To reserve your spot, please email Stasi Brown.
