SOLO Connection: SOLO (Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome) will be supported by the IC's this year. IC's have been sending teachers the SOLO Commercial to help perk interest. This was sent to you by Bianca on Monday via email.
Goals sessions are occurring between IC's and teachers. Feedback Conversations are happening in some cases as well. The teacher goals are being written to support the school specific goals you created with Faith/Kate/RVP a few weeks ago.
Summit Assessment Data
New Team
- VP of Data Science: Sean McGrew
- Persistence, Enrollment: Bob Vialpando
- Acad/Assessment School Services, Lead 360, and Teach 360: Laura Mayberry
- Regional Data Managers: these folks are moving to the national team, for now we hope to have a new data manager supporting the north announced very soon.
Academic Goals
Please review the School Services Newsletter from last week including information on:
- School Level Dashboard
- K2 Gradeband reporting
- Math & ELA participation and proficiency reporting separately (K5 driven by omni, MS now driven by Math/ELA course enrollment)
- Point in Time (PIT) enhancement: includes students enrolled 10 days prior to the schools testing window, through the entire testing window, and 10 days after the testing window.
- New Proficiency scales
Compliance- Funding Submissions
- Be sure to review the School Operational Health Dashboard for funding submission awareness.
- Does your Operations Team plan to validate submissions prior to submitting to the IR team?
- Does your school have a local place to store funding submission documents to back up funding claims?
- What is your local plan to make sure everyone is focused on engagement?
Marketing
- October is National Bullying Prevention Month.
- Holiday season brings on people volunteering and giving their time.

Hiring/Requisition Process Changes
The requistion process and hiring process changing, formal communication coming next week. Connie & Chris are working with schools individually, but this will be formally introduced/trained after next week. Instructional positions must have ratio and statutory/charter agreement verbiage indicating that language. Justification/risk articulation process continuing, we’re trying to shift this to happen during the requisition process, but until then- it’s going to be in both places.
