----- Microsoft Teams Tips -----
Getting Started with Teams
Need help getting your classes set-up in Teams? We have created a step-by-step handout that will walk you through creating your team, adding your students, the settings, and basic usage. We also have instructions you can send to parents showing how students can log into Teams (in English and Spanish). A link to a video tutorial is on each instruction page as well. See below for the files.
We also record all of our daily training sessions. If you miss a session or want to re-watch one you can access those on the Distance Learning section of our website.
Teams Meeting Expectations
Just as in your classroom, you will want to make sure you establish online meeting etiquette with your students. They need to know what you expect of them so they will understand how to behave in your online meetings.
Below is a slideshow we created that you can show your students about online etiquette.
And a few teacher tips!!
In a Meeting ... More Actions 3 dots
Once you start a meeting you can find additional features when you click on the More Actions 3 dots (...). You can change your background effects, record your meeting and End the Meeting which closes the meeting and removes all attendees so no one is left in the meeting when you exit.
Background Effects: There are about 12 stock background images you can choose from as well as just a blur option. You can also use your own images!! The way you do that is to paste this %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads into the file explorer (yellow folder on the task bar at the bottom of your screen) and then save your custom image there.
