Early life
Ayn Rand was born in Russia on February 2, 1905 and passed away in New york, New York on March 6, 1982 at the age of 77. Ayn Rand is Russian and Jewish. She moved to the United States in 1926. She is best known for her two best selling novels "The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged". Those are her best selling books. Afterwards she started writing non fiction to promote her philosophy. Ayn was the oldest out of her three sisters. When she was young she found that school was unchallenging. Ayn started writing screenplays at the age of 8 and novels at the age of 10. She supported republican ideals and she is a atheist because she valued reason above any other human virtue. After she had graduated from highschool the Russian revolution had ended. During that time they just started opening universitys to women, thus she was one of the first group of women to enroll at Petrograd state university. In the last few months of her life she writen several essays. She was an inspration to many young writers and students, including myself.
