2022-23 Where the Stars Shine Bright!
Bienvenidos Lincoln Families:
We are already into the second month of school! Wow! That time flew but it does feel like we have more of a rhythm going. We have enjoyed celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with daily facts on the announcements reported by the older students serviced in the Spanish Bilingual room. Luis, Allyson, Abigail, Paloma, Yareli, Analy, Samantha and Marco have all done a fabulous job so far on the announcements!
We also have leadership opportunities starting with our lunchroom monitors and school safety patrol! It feels good to finally be in a rhythm with students taking the lead.
A huge thank you to all the families who participated in our first Family Fun Night and for those who have attended the Lincoln PTO meeting. If you weren't able to make either event this month...there is always October!
As always, if I can ever be of service to you or your family, don't hesitate to reach out!
Thank you for your partnership,
Mrs. Whooley Jepson

2nd GRADE CELEBRATES JOHNNY APPLESEED DAY!
Today we celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day. Johnny Appleseed helped people by planting apple trees. Today we tasted different types of apples. After we tasted them, we picked our favorite kind. In second grade, our favorite was delicious. The least favorite was golden delicious. We had so much fun!

Join the PTO
We encourage all families and staff members to join our Parent Teacher Organization. Meetings will be on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:30. (This month, our family fun night is the 3rd Tuesday so the PTO meeting has been moved to the third Wednesday at 5:30 in the library). PTO has been gracious in providing a fun new gaga pit for our students to play in on the playground, planning a 5th grade celebration complete with popcorn and cotton candy, movie night, reading night, dinners for teachers on parent/teacher conference nights, popping popcorn for our monthly Spirit Day Celebration, helping with our school store monthly, and etc. It is a very active group who really works hard to provide great opportunities for our students and staff.
