Save the Date!
May 18-19-Wear gym shoes
May 19-Annual end of year convocation with Trike 100 and Students vs. Teachers basketball game!
May 25-Last day of school-it will NOT be an early release day, it is an "Aloha Day" so come dressed up! I will provide a lei for each student!
- Shirt signing on last day of school-if you would like to have your child have a shirt signed by their first grade classmates-please have your student wear their free Fun Run shirt on the last day of school! If they don't want to wear it, they can bring it in and we can do it that way too. Hard to believe there's just 8 days left of school!
- Note from Nurse-As you should be aware, all medications are required to be transported to and from school by the child’s parent or guardian. As the school year comes to a close, I want to remind you that all medications will need to be picked up by 4:00pm the last day of school (May 25th). Any medications left in the clinic will be discarded and will not remain in the clinic. If your child currently has medications in the clinic that are not likely to be used again, please consider picking medications up prior to the final day of school to avoid long lines.
We read stories about holidays. We studied r-controlled vowels, and our grammar skill was adverbs. We are done with the first grade reading series! Next week will be review week.
Your child can work on the Raz-Kids website at anytime for more practice on reading comprehension. If you think your child's level is too easy let me know and I can increase the difficulty. The teacher username is: smitchellav

* We now have an awesome website where your child can practice their own specific level of chomputation on the computer. This website was created by a South Creek parent!!
