EACC Students Develop Promotional Materials for Red Beard Beef Jerky
Interactive media students have begun the process of creating a promotional plan for Red Beard Beef Jerky. Red Beard Beef Jerkey was founded in 2018 and they are dedicated to providing the best beef jerky around. They pride themselves on creating a product that is made from whole muscle beef, never ground and reformed, and dried to perfection. They claim to have the best jerky on the market and they originated in Elkhart Indiana.
The students have been tasked with redesigning and improving their promotional items, assisting in the creation of a social media campaign, and providing promotional plans and advertising that is designed to boost their image, increase their market share, and to ultimately help them expand outside of the elkhart area.
The student team consists of:
Kyla Blackburn, Luke Burns from Elkhart Christian, Tiara Mitchell From Northwood High School. Corbin Russell from Jimtown, Zekaryah Brothers from Jimtown, Jeanette Palacios from Elkhart Memorial, Caleb Webster from Elkhart Memorial, Koleton Dover from Jimtown, Jake Seymore from Jimtown, and Kevyn Corona also from Jimtown.
The student team is in the beginning stages of this project and are excited about the potential opportunity to provide marketing assistance to the organization. We will keep you updated in the months to come as to their progress.

Elkhart Area Career Center Student Ty Gortney Finishes First at Junior Dragster Event
Congratulations to the Gortney Family!
Byron Dragway was the venue for last weekend's Junior Dragster event and the UTI junior dragster led the pack with the fastest qualifying time. The drag racing team for the UTI car is made up of the Gortney family. Ryan Gortney was the crew chief and his 17 year old son, Ty Gortney was the driver. They overcame all obstacles to be the fastest car on the track. The Gortney team may not be the biggest team and they do not have the most resources, but they definitely put forth the best effort. Congratulations to the Gortney family! They are the best field admissions team in the country.
Ryan and Angela Gortney are both teachers at the Elkhart Area Career Center. Their son Ty is a student.
