Greetings,
I look forward to seeing you tonight for our meeting regarding wreath sales, Shakespeare and Ashland.
We are finishing up "Boot Camp" with a grammar quiz tomorrow. Next week we will begin lesson 2. Each lesson will last two weeks. The first week we will test on spelling words. The second week we will test on vocabulary, grammar and reading. Please encourage your student to make use of Think Central. This can be accessed via our school website under Students > Student Resources. They have their passwords in their binders. In addition, using Spelling City is a great way to practice spelling and vocabulary words.
We are very close to casting the play. Our director, Pug, is so excited about the enthusiasm and work the actors are putting in. It's going to be a great show!
We tested on chapter one in math and are now working on chapter two. Scores can be found on Power School. Many of our papers are going in portfolios which I will share at conferences.
I am very pleased with the students' transition in to fifth grade. I look forward to a fantastic year with them.
Pax,
Marilyn
