Bus Bites
Knowing that food insecurity is a reality for many of our families, Fayette County Public Schools has developed a plan to provide breakfast and lunch for anyone 18-years-old or younger while schools are closed under these unprecedented circumstances. Boxed meals will be available for children at a total of 127 bus stops and 19 school locations throughout our community.
Bus Bites in Spanish
Bus Bites in Swahili
ANY child may eat at ANY site in the district. The bus stops and designated school sites can feed ALL age levels between 0 and 18. No pre-orders are required.
Beginning the week of March 23-27, 2020, we will distribute both breakfast and lunch at the same time, during the lunch delivery window. Meal service will not take place between March 30 and April 3, while schools were previously scheduled to be closed for spring break. Meal delivery will resume the week of April 6, 2020 and continue as long as necessary.
Menu
- Breakfast will consist of a cereal pack with juice, grain and milk.
- Lunch will consist of sandwich, wrap or pizza kit with fruit, juice and milk.
- Due to allergies, peanut butter and pork will not be served. If a student has other allergies, they will need to proceed with caution.
School Bus Delivery
- Breakfast and lunch will arrive via school bus to delivery sites at the specified times.
- Meals must be picked up during the site's scheduled 15-minute delivery window.
- Every effort will be made to run the routes in a timely manner, but adjustments may be necessary due to the volume of meals served.
- Children must be present to claim their meal.
- Adult meals are not available.
Meal Service School Locations
