It's National Assistant Principals Week!
Thanks to our RWHS Assistant Principals!
The week of April 4 is National Assistant Principals Week. NASSP, the National Association of Elementary School Principals, and the American Federation of School Administrators have designated this week to honor assistant principals and acknowledge their key role in the achievements of schools and students nationwide—particularly in leading our learning communities through the unique challenges created by COVID-19.
NASSP is offering e-cards to that you can arrange to send to our APs as a thanks!
Wednesday is National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day!
Wednesday is National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day when we celebrate the important work of paraprofessionals in our schools. Be sure to send a free Paraprofessional Appreciation eCard to thank these educators for their hard work and dedication to their students.
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day is observed annually on the first Wednesday of April and honors educators such as teacher’s aides and instructional assistants. Paraprofessionals often provide teachers with administrative support, work with students outside of the classroom, and provide one-on-one support for students who have disabilities or special educational needs.
Today, take the time to recognize these vital work our amazing RWHS paraprofessionals do and thank them for their contributions to our learning community!

Due to building closures before break, we are extending the deadline for the Local Scholarship application.
They are now due April 5 by 4:00 pm.
If you still need a packet, stop by the office ASAP!
Plan for Wednesday MCA testing/distance learning day
This past Monday, the School Board authorized us to run a distance learning day for grades 9-12 on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022. Our 7th and 8th grade students will be in school that day and will be taking the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA’s). Since the 7th and 8th grade tests are all day, this structure will allow us to better facilitate the testing and many of the accommodations that go with it.
The expectation for our 9-12 students is that they will attend each class online at its regularly scheduled time according to our Mon-Tues / Thurs-Fri schedule.
Our 7th and 8th grade students will attend in person and their schedule for testing is as follows:
MCA Reading 9:00 - 11:30am
Lunch 11:30 - 12:30pm
MCA Math 12:30 - 2:30
8th grade only: MCA Science 2:45 - 3:45pm
If you have any questions regarding the testing day, please contact the RWPS District Testing Coordinator, Ms. Robin Pagel at rspagel@rwps.org
