Student Spotlight
Fatima Gonzalez, an ELL sophomore at Keefe Tech created an outstanding project for her Zoology class with Mrs. Cavicchio. The assignment was to create a real life story including 5 insects from A Bug’s Life finding additional information through research. (Separate research rubric)
The assessment portion of the assignment was to write a story including new personal names for the invertebrates and assign the insects a job. Students also had to create a visual description of how all the animals interact with each other within the environment. The story should be depicted through a kinesthetic project. (Ex. Poster, comic strip, movie, power point, clay molds, etc...)
Fatima fulfilled all the requirements of the rubric and more. She used several materials to create a three dimensional story that was vibrant, interesting and funny. She showed pride in her work and was thrilled at the positive response she received from her teacher and fellow students.
Excellent job, Fatima! A+
