STAAR Result Timeline

Grades 3-8 and High School EOC

Big picture

This past week, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released early reports for student performance on 2023 Spring STAAR and EOC assessments. These reports do not state whether a student passed or failed the assessment, and are considered preliminary. TEA has established three zones for the raw scores including: likely passing, likely not passing, and the zone of uncertainty.

Texas Leadership Public Schools, in every city, has already communicated with families whose student indicates a “likely did not pass” or is in the lower portion of "zone of uncertainty."

The final results and performance levels (does not meet grade level, approaching grade level, meets grade level, or mastered) for Grades 3-8 will not be released to school districts until mid-August 2023.

Districts have received RAW scores for high school students who completed the STAAR End-of-Course assessments. On May 31, 2023, Districts will receive the students' preliminary scale scores and performance levels. The results from May 31 will be used to determine if a student will be required to take the EOC retest in June. The final results from the spring STAAR EOC assessments will be available at the end of June 2023.

As soon as we can send updated information to families, we will!

We encourage parents to contact the Principal of their campus

with any specific questions concerning their student.
