Katie and Josie are your classmates in EDCI the semester (Fall 2018). I discovered their tutorials for grading this morning even though they are not due yet, it is an excellent example, so I thought I would share.

Make sure you have viewed some App tutorials examples from about and do a little looking on Youtube for more examples.
Checklist of Requirements for your App Tutorial Review Podcast
- You will add your video Podcast to SeeSaw via Youtube link.
- Think about your APPEARANCE when you record, look professional.
- Find an app we have not used or discussed in class. Find a NEW app that you think would be appropriate and great to use in your classroom/content area.
- Download and install the app on your iPad.
- If it is a paid app, buy it, if free, great.
- Teach yourself how to use each app.
- Then teach us how to use it and why it is great. Create a tutorial!
- Figure out how the app would be useful in your classroom and tell us.
- Record your PODCAST telling us about the app, kinda of a sales pitch or sorts, and show us how the app works and what it is for.
- You just watched some examples of App PODCASTS above (Tech Edge), now you are making one of your own!
- You cannot discuss something you have not actually used!! SO install the app and try it, play with it, teach the app to yourself.
- Assume you need to teach your students or your colleagues to use the app.
- Sales pitch, convince us this is a great app and why we should be using it in our classrooms.
- Describe the App, what is the app for and what does it do, show us!
- Include an application in education details.....how you think the app could be used in the classroom (specifically your classroom) or as a teacher if that is the case. What are the strengths of the App. Be specific an detailed, etc?
- Save your video podcast to your camera roll and upload it to Youtube. Instructions for how to do this are below, but you have done this a couple of times before, so you should know how.
- Remember, how you made a screen recording when we did keynote? Screen recording is one way to do this. but not the only way, you could do screenshots with annotation directions, use CLIPS, or iMovie or spark video or CLIPS to create your tutorials App Podcast.
- It must have your voice and YOU in the finished product.
- You will add your video to Seesaw and Padlet https://padlet.com/ded318/apppodcastfall2018
For CLIPS, hold vertical with camera at the top! For everything else hold your iPad horizontal.
Grading Breakdown Checklist

- 80 points- app tutorial podcast, what it does, tutorial for how to use it, why you like it and how you could use in your classroom. Add your video to Youtube and then Seesaw via the Youtube link.
- 20 points, Add your video to Youtube and then to the Padlet https://padlet.com/ded318/apppodcastfall2018
- Add the title: App Podcast: name of the app
You should always have a sentence or two description in Youtube.
Make sure you have added the Youtube App to your iPad
You should already have Youtube account, but just in case....
If you have a gmail account, you already have a Youtuve Account, just login!! If you do not have a gmail account, you can create an account with any email. Make sure you keep track of your login and password, you will need it frequently.
Makre sure you are logged into Youtube, it is easier that way!!
