3D Printing
We have a new way to capture the interest of our students...a 3D Printer! Creative ideas and designs come to life with hands-on learning and the 3rd grade class here at Nicholas is taking full advantage of having one in our building. The teachers showed their students a picture of a 3D printer and did a See, Think, Wonder activity. Then they read a Scholastic article about a girl making a mini version of herself using a 3D printer. Finally, they got to see the real thing in action. They chose to print out a candy cane to see how it worked. The students were SO excited and had LOTS of questions about it. They talked about fun and creative ways they could use the printer for all their other classes.

Holiday Concert
Thanks to everyone who came to the holiday concert. It was a lot of fun! Craig Fisher’s mom won the poinsettia raffle and Patience Oliver’s grandfather won the ham raffle! We collected over $300 in raffle tickets and donations for the Frank Nicholas PTO. Way to show your Pirate Pride!
