A Note From Ms. Frehner

Happy Monday!

We are almost through the month of November; there are only eight school days left of the month!

Your November checkpoint was due last Friday, November 14th. If you have not yet submitted it, please do so as quickly as possible this week. The link for the checkpoint is below. REMEMBER: Checkpoints are worth 20% of your overall grade in math and ELA.

Tutoring hours this Friday will be held during their normal time. I will have tutoring groups from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. If you feel like you could benefit from a reading or math group, please let me know. I will be available for open tutoring from 3:00-4:00. I would love to see more of you take advantage of this FREE tutoring opportunity. If you receive a group tutoring kmail from me, I strongly urge you to attend. If you are interested in my open tutoring hour, please RSVP HERE.

Nevada Virtual Academy has arranged for student pictures next Monday, November 24th. See the image below for more information.

Beginning this week, Mrs. Mortier will be our new ELA Sync teacher. Mrs. Haynal has moved down to the 3rd grade synchronous classes. We will miss Mrs. Haynal but are very lucky to have Mrs. Mortier join our teaching team!

Finally, students in our class are still doing AMAZING things! I would love to hear about and see what you're doing. Feel free to invite me to your events or send me kmails and pictures of the awesome things you're doing so I can share those things with the rest of our class.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to chat, please kmail me or give me a call at (702) 407-1825 x7055.

Make it a great week!

Typing Resource

It is SO incredibly important that you are learning how to type correctly, especially with the SBAC coming up this year (which is computer based and will require a strong typing foundation). I have found a pretty good website that teaches typing skills and is FREE!

Check out TypingWeb.com, and sign up for a free account to keep track of your typing progress.
