Providing Free Meals for ALL Kids Next School Year

District 41 is pleased to partner with Marquardt Food and Nutrition Services to provide free meals to each and every child in District 41 through the end of the 21/22 school year. The free meal program for all students is made possible by a USDA federally funded program being offered to schools due to the pandemic. The program is scheduled to continue through June 2022. Beyond next school year, District 41 will go back to traditional meal programming offering meals for a daily cost or for a free/reduced rate for those families that qualify.

Our meal program for next school year will be fully reimagined and includes high quality healthy meals, a variety of fresh produce and locally sourced milk. The program will also include fun themed days throughout the week to get the students excited about eating a healthy and delicious lunch! New this school year, online pre-ordering will be available and required to ensure everyone has access to meals as well as reduce food waste. More information will be sent out to parents and posted on social media soon! Please follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter @glenellyn41food.
