- We will remain in small groups, as small as the numbers allow us.
- At this time, masks are required for this event.
Last name starting with A - L = 9 - 10 AM

Parents can drop off and pick up, wait in the parking lot, or students can bike/walk on their own.
- We will start outside at the west end of the building, on the lawn around Door 30.
- Students will be placed in small groups with a student tour guide.
- Small groups will start by entering the building at Door 9, go to a classroom for several activities, tour the school, and exit the West Side at the bus drive.
- The total experience will last about 1 hour. Students do not need to bring anything and there is no RSVP.
If your student is unable to attend on August 6, there will be an open house on August 16. In addition, 6th grade teachers will spend time touring and assisting students on the first day of school!

Providing Free Meals for ALL Kids Next School Year
District 41 is pleased to partner with Marquardt Food and Nutrition Services to provide free meals to each and every child in District 41 through the end of the 21/22 school year. The free meal program for all students is made possible by a USDA federally funded program being offered to schools due to the pandemic. The program is scheduled to continue through June 2022. Beyond next school year, District 41 will go back to traditional meal programming offering meals for a daily cost or for a free/reduced rate for those families that qualify.
Our meal program for next school year will be fully reimagined and includes high quality healthy meals, a variety of fresh produce and locally sourced milk. The program will also include fun themed days throughout the week to get the students excited about eating a healthy and delicious lunch! New this school year, online pre-ordering will be available and required to ensure everyone has access to meals as well as reduce food waste. More information will be sent out to parents and posted on social media soon! Please follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter @glenellyn41food.
