NEW: Missing Boys!
Information On The Boys
Real or Not?
A search party has gone out for Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn and Joe Harper. These boys are three friends that were declared missing after each were found missing this morning. Some students look up to the boys, as they assume they ran away. They also say these boys are trouble makers. Is this the three friends idea of a cruel joke?We interviewed the boys parents and they insist that the friends were clearly not trying to fool anyone. We still aren't sure that the boys are truly missing, but where else could they be? I think I speak for everyone when I say that I hope Tom, Huck and Joe all come home safe and very soon.
Have You Seen Them?
Sawyer, Finn and Harper were last seen in St. Petersburg, at their houses. If you have seen them please contact their parents as soon as possible. We need to find the boys, we miss them!
Questions On The Novel
Questions and Answers With Mark Twain
Mark Twain is the author of an amazing book, The Aventures of Tom Sawyer, that I personally read. I thought the book was well crafted and something future authors should model their work by. I sat down with him to ask some pressing questions I had on the novel.
Q: Mr. Twain, in your new book, I enjoyed your allusion to Robin Hood when the boys were playing games on the island. Why did you choose that particulsar allusion? A: Robin Hood was always a fun game I played as boy with my friends. I had a great time pretending to be the characters and I figured Tom would like it too. Q: How did you come up with all the crazy adventures in this book? They are absolutly nothing like I have ever heard of! A: Most of the things Tom did were modeled after me, so many of the adventures were straight from my own experiances. I also included some that my friends had told me about, although I'm not particularly certain those were true. Q: Do you think you will write a sequel to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer? A: Yes, I had a great time writing this book and was very happy when it turned out to be such a big hit! I admit there were times of frustration, but I sure do look forward to writing another novel!
