Trailblazer Times
By: STLP students, Austin and Micah
Welcome!
This is our November edition of Trailblazer Times. This month, we will showcase a lot of great things that happened at Camp Ernst Middle School like Donuts with Dad, Red Ribbon Week, and Veteran's Day. Also, we are excited to tell you about our new outdoor classroom and a debate project Summit classes participated in. Make sure you check out the December events listed and other videos we have included.
Our New Outdoor Classroom
Phase I, construction, of the CEMS outdoor classroom is complete! The outdoor classroom is located diagonally behind the 6th grade wing. There are two benches and one picnic table, enough seats for 16 students or so. There is also a white board in the structure. Phase II, environmental surroundings and seating for a class of 30 students, will take place throughout the school year.
Thank you to everyone who helped build the outdoor classroom!! We have some great students and staff members (and spouses of those staff members) who helped make this vision a reality!

A Message from the Clinic
The Medication Administration Consent Form has to be signed by a parent for over the counter medications and cough drops. This form only needs to be signed by a physician for prescribed medication or if over the counter dose is more than directed on bottle. Students have to have a doctor's note for water bottles and/or sports drinks on file in the first aid room. Continue to practice great hand washing skills!
Donuts with Dads 2016
Donuts with dads was a great success! It took place on November 3rd and 4th during Blazer Time. The goal of this event was to bring dads and their children together and celebrate their involvement. Thank you to all the dads and students who participated!

Veteran's Day Breakfast
Once again, CEMS recognized veterans at our annual Veteran's Day Breakfast. From the BBN crew, a big thank you to the Veterans and the families for their sacrifice.
