Mountain View Weekly Update

Announcements & Updates

- Reminder: The staff lots are not to be used by parents for pick-up or drop-off. Please use the front circle, Dean Road curb line, and Orchard circle. Further, the cut-through between the small staff lot and circle is not to be used for through traffic. This poses a danger to staff and students who are crossing. Your cooperation is appreciated. For additional information regarding pick-up/drop-off, please review the August 19 Weekly Update.

- With fall athletics and extracurricular clubs underway, please be reminded that all meeting dates, sporting events, cancellations, etc... are posted to the Mountain View website calendar and Daily Bulletin. The calendar is available on both the website and the app, while the bulletin can only be viewed on the mobile app.

- The Lions' Den will be open for students before school, from 8:00 - 8:30, beginning Monday. Students reporting to the Lions' Den do not need to sign in at the Main entrance; instead, there is a sign-in at the entrance to the Lions' Den. Note that students will not be permitted to enter the building and go to the Lions' Den after 8:20.

A note from Ms. Walsh

Happy Friday Mountain View! It was an exciting week; we had our first spirit week, Back to School Night, and our first Advisory Lesson! In Advisory, students reflected upon their first weeks of school, discussed any challenges they’ve faced thus far, and shared what they are looking forward to this year. Students ended their Friday by working on their communication and collaboration skills while challenging their brains. In a time-crunch, teams of students worked to communicate and collaborate effectively to decipher riddles and puzzles in an effort to achieve the highest score in their EEE class. Check out Twitter for pictures!
