Hope everyone survived the time change! Reminder that there is no school on TUESDAY due to Election Day!

Friday is the end of the first trimester. It's crazy to think we are already through a third of the school year!

We have had quite a bit of illness these past couple of weeks. Now is a great time to make sure water bottles, lunch bags and coats get washed.

Thank you to all who supported the PPA's Glow Gram Mini-Fundraiser! It was a great success and brought many smiles! Thank you for "planting kindness"! SO many great costumes on Halloween. The students and staff had a great time. Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped with classroom parties. We appreciate you!

Butter Braid Fundraiser Reminder: Order forms are due on November 8th! Butter braids will be on November 17th.

Maddie's Mitten March will be in Sandwich this Saturday. This is a bus that shows up, and is filled with coats, hats, gloves and boots. Any family may come, no proof of residency or income is required. They let 1 family on the bus at a time to grab what they need, and then move on to the next. The bus is fully stocked with all sizes and all ages. Please see the flyer below. We are so thankful to have such a supportive community!

Veteran's Day: On Friday, November 11th, we will be honoring our local service members with a Veterans Day assembly. We are excited to host veterans and active service members on this important day. Please encourage your students to wear patriotic clothing or camouflage on November 11th. We did an amazing job at our first assembly and look forward to welcoming our guests to Woodbury! If you have a special veteran or active service member in your family that you would like to us to recognize please check out the flyer below. We did not have many submissions so we would like to extend the date to send in. Thank you for helping us honor our veterans!

Woodbury Way: Harvesting Friendship!

You’ve got a friend in me!

These past few weeks we have been having awesome discussions about how to be a great friend. The students had so many wonderful thoughts about what a friend is: A friend is someone who makes you feel better when you are sad. A friend helps you. A friend plays with you, shares and uses kind words. A friend listens to you. And a friend even gives you grace when you’re having a bad day or you have let them down.

We are in the developing years of practicing and learning how to be a friend, but it’s also something we practice and work on our whole lives. . Instead of, “How was school?”, consider making it a habit to ask your child, “How were you a friend today?”
