Snow Day and Delays

Please note that should the school district call a snow day - students are off on that day. When school is delayed - students may not be dropped off until the appropriate time e.g. -

2 hour delay school starts at 11:05 AM (Arrival begins at 10:45 - student CANNOT be dropped off before 10:45 AM)

Unless your child is signed up for the Before School Program - we are unable to provide supervision for students until 10:45 AM.

TONIGHT! A Night You Do NOT Want To Miss!

Last year I saw many Warwick families attend this Young Engineers' Night at CB East. I took my own four children and they still talk about the cars we built, planes we flew, and TV commercial we shot. It was an awesome experience which I encourage you to attend.

Are you looking for something to do this weekend with your family?

Consider attending the VH-1 Save the Music Concert at Holicong Middle School!

Each year, music teachers from Central Bucks middle schools organize a big concert for the public. The musical genres in the concert range from pop and rock, to jazz and musical theater. Proceeds from the concert benefit public music education programs in need through the VH-1 Save the Music Foundation. Performers include teachers from the district (including Warwick music teacher, Mrs. Kelly), close friends and people connected to the district, along with students and alumni.

This year’s concert theme is “Live in Living Color.” Performances are this Friday and Saturday, January 30th and 31st. There are performances each evening at 7:30 PM and Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM. If you attend the Saturday matinee performance this year, you will even be able to see some of our very own Warwick Singers in action!

Consider coming to see this highly-energetic and exciting performance while supporting music education at the same time. More information about the Save the Music Concert and ticket information can be found at Hope to see many of you there!

Update on New Reporting Progress System

As we begin to make our way towards the close of the second marking period, it is important to realize that we will be assessing your child on several standards within each content area. This is a good time to refocus on the fact that the use of the indicators (Exceeding, Meeting, Approaching, and Limited Progress) in reporting student progress is a monumental shift in thinking.

Please keep in the forefront of your mind that indicators and letter grades report learning differently. Letter grades give global information while indicators give more specific information regarding student achievement. For example an M does not at all indicate “average” or equate to a letter “C”. Meeting means that the learning goal was met. Central Bucks sets incredibly high goals and expectations for students. Meeting these goals takes hard work and is an accomplishment! At the same time, please keep in mind that an Approaching or Limited Progress means that a student has YET to meet the established goal. Students all learn at different rates. We will continue to provide the very best instruction and support in the classroom so that each student can reach his/her highest potential

The PTO is excited to see so many students are anxious to participate in our Winter Workshops! We are excited to get them started!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! It is impossible to run these Workshops without your help! We need 1 - 2 parents everyday to make sure the children get to the workshop they are registered for and dismiss them safely when the Workshop is over!

We already have enough volunteers for Monday and Thursday, but we need Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday covered or we will have no choice but to cancel the Workshops on those days.

Volunteers are asked to come to school at 3:45 PM and stay until the last child is picked up. The PTO is offering a $50 credit to any parent volunteer.

Please contact Jennifer Fean via email at TODAY to volunteer so that your child can enjoy all these great workshops!

Oops! There was a slight error made on the Friday dates.

If your child is registered in Drawing, Cartooning or Pull Back Car Frenzy, the dates of the class should be:

  • Feb. 6 thru March 20 (except 2/13).

  • Feb. 13 is an inservice day and the children do not attend school that day. Please make a note of it.

With so many children participating this year, it is taking longer to process the registrations - which is a good problem! There are some classes that are full. You will be contacted by Monday, Jan. 26 if a registration was sent in for a class that was already full.

Please be patient, we will get word to you as quickly as possible!

If you have any questions regarding the Workshops, please feel free to email Jennifer Fean!

Thank you in advance for your participation and cooperation!
