Library
This Valentine’s Day take a chance and go on a date with a book. Rate your date afterwards! Books are wrapped up and ready for readers like you to get a romantic surprise! We are also featuring classic and modern reads focusing on celebrating Black History. Stop by today and browse our display! It's research time again in the library. Students are identifying important sources and using MLA citations for their British Literature papers.
If you are interested in 3D printing, come by the library and print your own creations. A student from Mr. Solomon’s class created an entire chess set! The theme is Communism vs Capitalism. Additionally, the film class created and displayed films they made in the library. It was wonderful to see how creative the student can be within parameters. In addition to the great videos, the sound was wonderful thanks to our new sound system!
Stop by the library this month to make light up cards using LED’s, copper tape and batteries!
Have you heard about The Book Room?! It’s a mini-magazine filled with books and what is happening in the library. Check out February's Issue here.

Students Against Melanoma
Thanks to the generous donation of Dr. John Kinney from the Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation, Mrs. Colleen Quinn-Maxwell, club officers and club members of the LMHS Students Against Melanoma Club were able to purchase a Skin Scope Analyzer. Students tried out the new club skin analyzer to see its use to visually see the varied changes that can occur in the skin from the sun, dehydration, and other skin conditions.
