Coaching Connection

Teachers Collaborating So We Can All Grow ~ Sept. 25, 2019

Tips from the Halls of WSHS and WALC

* Did you know you can set up a discussion board on Schoology that is shared between multiple classes? And even between multiple teachers?

* Do you have all students in each small group completing the same assignment? Ask them to place them in a pile upside down in the middle of the table, and randomly select one to grade for the whole group. This encourages everyone in the group to do a complete job, and to support each other's learning.

* Are students feeling too shy to ask their questions? How about implementing a question wall? Create a "parking lot" space for questions on sticky notes. Imagine how we could improve communication if each student had to either place one point of confidence or one question on your parking lot each day!
