Students are able to check their grades for all subjects on Skyward and all have practiced this at school. We've let them know that they are able to correct and return tests/assignments that they did not pass for additional credit and we have been reminded them that we have just 1 week until the end of the 1st quarter to complete or correct their work to get grades adjusted.
October 11th- October 15th Learning
Math with Mr. Bush and Mrs. Seyer-
**Please be on the lookout for this week’s self-reflection from your child. I’d like to have you sign this each week and it will give you your child's current math grade and status.
Core Math- This week will learn about Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and Least Common Multiple (LCM), learn about integers (positive and negative whole numbers) and how they are used when referring to temperature.
Integrated Math: We are beginning a new unit on Rational Numbers which will lead us into Expressions and Equations.
Writing and Science with Ms. Kohrs-
Science- During science this week, we'll work in groups on our Battle of the Brains exhibits for Science City. Ask your child what exhibit their group is planning.
Grammar- In grammar this week, we'll begin learning about possessive nouns. Adding apostrophes to singular and plural nouns can be tricky, so we'll work together some and practice a lot!
Reading with Mrs. Logan-
We'll read about cultures this week and study Greek/Latin suffixes. We'll continue to work on making predictions and point of view, this week focusing on 3rd person point of view.
We'll take a test on both spelling and vocabulary words on Thursday, since we don't have school on Friday.
