MOMS January Updates

Holy Spirit Parish at Geist

About MOMS

The Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS) is a ministry for mothers at Holy Spirit to share their faith stories, experiences and traditions with other moms. Our Vision is to be a faith-filled ministry supporting and serving one another and our community with love, friendship, compassion, and laughter on our journey of motherhood.

Renewal

Your facilitators met in December to plan the upcoming semester and we are so excited about all of the things God has in store for us! Our theme for the upcoming months will be Renewal. The message from our culture in the New Year always seems to be one of "fixing" ourselves. . .but we love you just the way you are! Let's focus on renewing ourselves instead. Our goal this semester is to connect you more deeply with the voice of Love within you through prayer, and to help you renew your relationship with God, your family and yourself. We look forward to growing with you in our journey of faith and motherhood.

We had an insightful guest speaker about Stress Relief in the evening, followed by some relaxing Prayer and Pilates with Molly, a brunch in the morning and a gift wrapping pitch in during the evening of our last meeting. We were able to bless our Adopt-a-Family with everything they asked for and so much more. We hope that you feel WONDERFUL about your contribution to spreading love and joy during the holiday season!

Prayer and Pilates

Have you tried our Prayer and Pilates yet? If you are uncertain about what to expect, here's a note from our amazing and gifted Molly, certified Pilates instructor and all around special gal!

Hello Moms!

Just wanted to let you all know that we've changed the format a bit for Prayer & Pilates. Last month, we dimmed the lights, used some relaxing essential oils & a did a lot more stretching & relaxation breathing than in past classes. I'll still teach the Pilates Fundamentals & read from scripture or a devotion, but I think the more relaxing class atmosphere worked so well, that I'd like to keep doing it! I welcome any feedback that you may have! Remember to wear comfortable clothing, bring a bottle of water & a mat or large towel. Also, feel free to bring any essential oils that you like to use for relaxation! I will bring a few to share as well!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Xo, Molly
