Mrs. Abrams' bittersweet goodbye
Teresa.Abrams@wylieisd.net
dear parents,
I wanted to share with you a new journey that I will be going on.
After much prayer and planning I have started the process to pursue my certification to become a Alpha Phonics Teacher and Dyslexia Specialists. I will be able to work with students who are identified as having dyslexia and teach them more intensive strategies to become a better reader.
I am so excited about this new path I will taking to give support and encouragement to struggling readers so they can gain the Joy of reading.
The opportunity opened this week for me to accept a position at Tibbals Elementary in Wylie I.S.D as their Alpha Phonics Teacher for the next school year.
I have shed many tears about my new position, sad tears to leave a wonderful school and being a Dodd Dinosaur for 8 gracious years but Joyful tears for the new journey I am about to go on.
Working with each of you as parents has been a privilege. I may be changing the school I teach at but what's not changed are all the sweet memories I have made while teaching your child.
Thank you for sharing a little piece of your child's life with me,
Teresa Abrams
