Viking PRIDE - Student of the Month
Monthly, our staff will nominate EXEMPLARY Valley View Viking students in each of the areas of the Viking PRIDE- Positivity, Respect, Improvement, Diligent, and Excellence.

National Junior Honor Society
NJHS invites will be given out during homeroom on Monday, 1/30/23.
Mandatory information meetings will be held during homeroom:
- 8th Grade - Wednesday, February 1, 2023
- 7th Grade - Thursday, February 2, 2023
- 6th Grade - Friday, February 3, 2023
Students must attend this information meeting on their designated day in order to remain eligible for NJHS. If they are absent on that day they must attend the make up meeting after school on February 7th from 2:35-2:55 PM in Room B-28.
If students did not get an invite and they feel like they should have please have them email Mrs. Suffolk (amanda.suffolk@simivalleyusd.org) or come see her Tuesday, 1/31/23 during homeroom in B-28.
Yearbook guarantees to get every Viking in the yearbook at least 3x. Yearbooks are on sale for $70 until 4/30/23. The deadline to buy a yearbook with your name engraved on the cover is February 28, 2023. After that date, the option to personalize goes away. Plus, what a great way to commemorate your 8th grader's promotion from middle school than to get their name engraved on the cover for only $7 but this option is only available online at Jostens.com through February. Just go to www.jostens.com.

Every THURSDAY is Viking Pride Day. Please remind your child to wear their Viking shirt or school colors every Thursday. The expectation for Spirit Days and Fun Fridays is that all clothing worn will be school appropriate and follow the school dress code policy.

ATTENDANCE is IMPORTANT
Good attendance equals improved school performance. Please call the office if your child is absent to avoid a truancy. (Absences that are not cleared within 5 days automatically turn to a truant.) Valley Views 24 Hour Attendance Line is 805-520-6820 option 2 or ext. 1320. Please avoid tardies for your child. It is very important to be at school on time as it enables classroom learning to be more effective.
