This week Dance I will continue their research, and Academic Literacy will stop by for some book talks. None of these classes will affect study hall, so we will be open as usual.

On to exciting news! I just received an awesome shipment of books on the topic of Restorative Justice! To refresh your memory, this was the topic of Becky Wussow’s awesome presentation to Clark teachers last semester, and many of these books come highly recommended from her! Here are the titles we just got in:

Clark Student Makes the Texas All-State Band!

Congratulations to Michelle Luan for making the Texas All-State Band. Michelle placed first at the Area C Band auditions on Saturday, January 9. Michelle's journey to making the 6A All-State Band began in early December at the phase 1 All-Region auditions in which she advanced to phase 2 and made the TMEA All-Region Band Wind Ensemble by placing 3rd.

Michelle will travel to San Antonio to participate and perform in the TMEA All-State Band which is in conjunction with the Texas Music Educators Association Convention/Clinic, February 10-13.

Clark Students Makes the Texas All-State Choir!

The Clark choir department would like to congratulate Cannon McClure for making the Texas All-State Women's choir. Cannon is the first female student from Clark to make an All-State choir in 14 years. She will represent Clark High School with very best singers in the state of Texas at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in February.

Ag News

Two Clark students did very well at a recent Livestock Show. Christopher Thomas placed 13th, and Kaitlyn Zhang placed 5th! (Pictured below)

Even more exciting is that a Clark alumni (pictured below), now a junior at PSHS, received Reserve Grand Champion! So she got second place overall, which is a huge deal in livestock showing, according to Savannah Rubio.

Additionally, we beat out all the PESH students who also showed rabbits!
