BRONCO BASH!!
Today was the highly anticipated Bronco Bash! Students and teachers enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter and games as we celebrated everyone’s hard work this school year. Special thanks to all of the teachers, coaches and especially our PTA volunteers who helped organize and set up this fun event. Here are a few pictures from today’s excitement.
STUCO RECEIVES BLUE RIBBON AWARD!
Bedford Jr. High Student Council received the four star Blue Ribbon Sweepstakes Winner. This award consist of four areas: D.A.S.H. (Drug, Alcohol, Safety, and Health); Community Service, Pride and Patriotism; and Energy and Environment. Our students completed over 1,700 hours of community service, countless service projects, and completed a legacy project for future generations to enjoy. It has been seven years since the last time our school has received this award and we are very proud of our outstanding members.
CHEERLEADING FUND RAISING EVENTS!
The Bronco Cheerleaders are hosting a fundraiser at Cascades Carwash on May 18th. Come get your car washed and let us dry and vacuum it for you! Donations/Tips are accepted as they will help send us to cheer camp this summer! Hope to see you there
LAST CHANCE TO PURCHASE A YEARBOOK!
NOTICE TO PARENTS: Monday May 20 at 3:30 will be the cut off for preordering a yearbook. This will allow the staff to inventory and organize for yearbook distribution during Ninth Grade Awards and 7th and 8th distribution on Tuesday, May 28. Students must sign for their book at pick up. The staff is excited to share their 2018-2019 yearbook. The cost of the book is $55. Upon delivery, books will be $60. We have a few books left to sell – don’t be left out!
ATHLETIC RESULTS
8TH GRADE GIRLS SOCCER
Congratulations to the 8th Grade B team they defeated Euless Monday 3-0.
Natalie Fltnn, Haylee Branham, and Arwen Wilks all scored a goal!
7TH GRADE GIRLS SOCCER
The 7th Grade Lady Broncos Team 3 & 4 soccer teams competed against Euless Thursday and dominated.
Team 3 came out against a physical Stallion team, but the girls didn’t back down. Keeley Campbell scored our first point at the end of the first half off of a penalty kick. Ciaralynn Pierson and Raegan Burens scored the second half bringing our end score to 3-0!
Great defense played by Rose Smith, Zequira Rocca, and Emily Ortiz.
Team 4 played a great defensive game, preventing Euless from scoring, ending the game 0-0.
Huge stops from Riley Russell as keeper, Fatima Oumur, and Azoria Henry. Great hustle by Maya Bennett, Melissa Reed, and Mary Steigerwald. Awesome job Lady Broncos!!!
MAY STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
GABBY MATHEWS
Gabby is an outstanding band student and seeing her growth over the last 3 years has been amazing! She is kind, respectful and brings a positive attitude to class every day. The future is bright for Gabby and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her. Thanks for giving it your all for 3 years and making the Bedford JH Band a better place!
ETHAN RANGEL
Ethan Rangel is a quiet leader in class: he is a tireless worker, extremely creative, and always positive. Ethan is a shining example of what makes Bedford Best!
MYA SCHNEIDER
Mya Schneider is an extremely talented student. Her work is exceptional and she readily accepts additional projects and challenges with a smile. She is a joy to have in class.
STEVEN CASSIDY
Steven Cassidy is an awesome student. He consistently finishes his assignments on time and strives for perfection. Steven is a great helper in class and is always ready to help in any way needed.
REESE HOLSINGER
Reese is a joy to have in band class! She is very naturally talented and a hard worker which is a great combination. Reese completes all of her assignments ahead of time and has maintained an average of over 100 all year!
CAMERON CONRAD
Cameron is an awesome band student! He has maintained an average of over 100 all year through lots of hard work and dedicated practice. He always come to class prepared and gives his best effort every day!

If you have a great photo and a short write up, you can submit your entry on the HEB website.
We love to hear stories and shout-outs about BJH events, dances, theater, band, art, sports, etc….
SUMMER CAMP OPTIONS FOR STUDENTS
HELP WANTED AND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Please consider helping out your kids school by volunteering a little of your time. Bedford Junior High offers multiple opportunities that currently need some assistance. Morning Crosswalk Duty, Workroom Responsibilities, and as always Concession Sales on Fridays and game days. We would love to see you involved in your kids school and this is a great way to start.
