Health Office Updates

Health & Wellness Reminders:

If you have received a notification letter about immunization noncompliance, please provide documentation to the nursing office that you've received all the state-required vaccines as soon as possible to avoid being excluded from school. You can receive state-required vaccines through your pediatrician's office as well as local pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens. You can also check the website, https://www.vaccines.gov/find-vaccines/, to find vaccines near you, including yearly flu shots and covid vaccines/boosters. (Aim to get your yearly flu shot before the end of the month for best protection!)

Please ensure that your child has an annual routine health exam with their pediatrician and provide a copy of that documentation to the nursing office each year. This information can help us better care for your child. Yearly physicals are important for everyone, especially adolescents. Your routine health exam can help you form a good relationship with your doctor. Engaging in routine well exams can also promote health awareness for teens and promote healthy lifestyle habits and changes. A yearly physical exam is also required by MIAA to be eligible to participate in sports.

Also as a reminder, orange health forms need to be filled out every year per state regulations. Please contact the Keefe Tech Nurses if you need further assistance at 508-416-2263.
