Epiphany Classroom Blessings
Fr. Erik continued our school’s tradition of blessing the classrooms during the time of Epiphany. He began by reading the story of the Magi to the students and then visited each classroom. He said a short prayer, sprinkled the classroom with holy water, and changed the year on the inscription above the door which now reads 20 + C + M + B + 21. He explained to the students that the numbers represent the year and the letter represent the three wise men, Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar and that these three wise men represent all of us at the nativity. We hope our students enjoy sharing this tradition with their families. Each CTK school family received their own chalk and information on how to mark their homes for the Epiphany.

Traveling Teachers
This year, for the first time ever, we have “Traveling Teachers”. Nineteen of our 4th – 8th grade teachers and our art, Spanish, computer, and music teachers travel to classrooms. Normally our students switch from class to class but by cohorting the students and keeping them in their classrooms we are cutting down on exposure…no sharing desks, no passing each other in the hall, and most importantly, no spreading germs. This is just one of the many ways we are keeping our students and staff safe.
Quizlet Live Fun
Fourth graders practice their skills with a collaborative, high-energy review game called Quizlet Live. In-person and virtual students are able to participate and play at the same time. It’s clear by the video that Mrs. Curtis’ class enjoys playing (and learning)!
