Dear Smith Stallions,
IMPORTANT REMINDERS AND UPCOMING EVENTS:
- VIRTUAL CONFERENCES: We will have virtual conferences on September 28th-29th. Please be looking for a folder next week that will have the items you will need for the conference, including the zoom code. If you haven't established a time with your child's teacher, please reach out to them by Monday.
- BOOK FAIR: Due to delays, the book fair will not begin on Monday, September 27th. Once the book fair arrives, the dates will be adjusted so that all of the students will have an opportunity to visit the fair and shop for books. Please be looking for a note from the library once we have received the book fair and the new dates are set. We are hopeful that the book fair will arrive next week. Thank you for your understanding.
- LUNCH APPLICATION FORMS: Please complete Lunch Application Forms and return to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. Even though all students are eating school breakfast and lunches free this year, it is very important that we get these forms completed and returned to school as soon as possible. Additional funding is determined by the completion of our Lunch Application Forms. These additional funds are used to fund a school nurse in every building, Social Workers, School Resource Officers, and additional valuable services for our students. You may list all students that live in your household on one Lunch Application Form. If you have not received a form, please call the office and we will send one home with your child. Thank you in advance for taking time out of your busy schedule to complete the attached application. COMPLETE THE MEAL FORM HERE.
- CHANGES IN TRANSPORTATION: The office is a busy place in the afternoons. If you need to make changes to how your child gets home, please call the office at 750-8846 no later than 2:30 p.m. so that there is time to get the message to your child's teacher.
- MORNING DROP OFF: Safety is our #1 priority! Our doors do not open until 7:15 a.m. each day. Please do not drop off your child before 7:15 a.m. Our duty personnel do not arrive until 7:15 a.m. each morning.

A Note From Nurse Alana
Flu Clinic: The flu clinic is scheduled for October 5th. If you would like for your child to get a flu shot at school, please be sure to complete the form that was sent home on Monday and send it back to school.
