Can I brag for a moment about our teachers, staff, and students? This has been a tough week for sickness in our school. We have had several students absent and several of our teachers and staff. When we have been short a body, others have given up part of their time to help and ensure that our students are getting the opportunity to learn. From people helping to clean the rooms, cleaning up after sick kids, and helping to take out the trash, we have seen a common purpose of doing what needs to be done, so our students do not miss out. A big thanks to ALL!

Our 2nd -4th-grade students will be doing a TN READY review over the next few days. During this time, they will look to help our students continue to grow in areas that have been identified as struggle spots. While this assessment is just one snapshot of what our students and teachers do all year, it is valuable data for us to look at as our students move forward in their educational careers. With this in mind, I want to encourage you to have your child at school present and on time as we begin our testing. Our testing schedule will begin Tuesday the 19th and go for two weeks. If you would like to send snacks to your child's room, please feel free to do so.

This next week we will send home applications for our summer school program. It will share information about times and activities. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Ms. Brandi or me. It is our pleasure to work with you and your child as we prepare them for their beautiful futures.
