Invitation from Superintendent:
Dear Parents/Caregiver of high school students,
As you may know, our district is participating in an audit process to identify ways to ensure our policies, practices, and outcomes are more equitable for all students and adults. In addition to reviewing data and surveying groups of students and staff, our auditors would like the opportunity to discuss issues of equity in greater detail with small groups. This important information will be used to create an equity plan that improves experiences for all students and adults in the district.
We are inviting high school students to participate in a focus group discussion to share thoughts, experiences, and suggestions on issues related to educational equity in Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union. The student focus group will happen during the weeks of Jan. 23 - Feb. 10th. The focus group will run 45 - 60 minutes during the school day. We hope to have ten students for the group.
Students will be sent information about this opportunity next week and will express interest by completing a google sign up form by Jan. 18th. If your child is interested in being part of the group, we will follow up with a permission slip.
We hope that you will encourage your child to participate.
Thank you,
Christine Bourne
