Staff vs. 5th Grade Basketball Game

Our Blueberry Ambassador/Leadership Team is organizing a fundraiser for the Genesee County Food Bank. It will take place on May 19th from 6:00-8:00 at The Cage Fieldhouse. Doors will open at 5:30 - any kids want to play?

Middle School Counselor Visit

The Middle School Counselors visited our students to explain scheduling to them. They have a packet that needs to be returned with elective choices. Please return by the 24th of March, We will visit the Middle School sometime in May or June. We will send home details when we have them.

Jack and The Beanstalk

On Friday, April 1st, all Morrish students will be going to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Swartz Creek High School to see a performance of “Jack and the Beanstalk”. This is a production from the University of Michigan-Flint Music Department and is an opera for children. The performance is free of charge and lasts about an hour. Buses will leave Morrish at 9:30 and will return by 11:30. This will be a great experience. Please remember that April 1st is a half day of school and students will be dismissed at 11:55.

Our learning about Dividing Decimals is nearly in the books! Students can successfully divide a decimal by a decimal. Our Summative Test for Dividing Decimals, Unit 5, is on Wednesday, March 16th. The Review Test will be coming home on Monday. Have your child show you their Math Skills so they will be confident for the Final Test.

Social Studies

Take a look at the terrific scores that your child achieved on the Chapter 5 Social Studies Summative Test! The focus was on Europeans, the Spanish, the French, and the English, settling throughout North America. As we know, the English prevailed in colonizing the 13 Colonies. We are now learning about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War; why we Patriots fought against England, our Mother Country.
