Amazing Job Students of 305!!!
I can't tell you how proud I am of each and every one of the students in 305. They kept it together all week during testing, and they've worked so incredibly hard this year. Now that testing is over, we can go back to concentrating on what we do best.....learning and collaborating in hands on ways.
Did Someone Mention Cookies?
Last week we started "The Cookie Project." This project combines fraction conversions, civics, and fun. The students were given the numbers of students in each grade level and told to convert a cookie recipe, which yields five dozen, to create enough cookies for each student in their given grade level to have three. In exchange for the cookies, students will bring in one canned good to be donated to the East Spring Branch Food Bank. We will begin mixing on Monday and baking later in the week!!! Keep your fingers crossed that this goes well.
Singing and Pizza
As you know, fourth grade students will be participating in the district choir festival at Spring Forest on Wednesday. MDE students will be performing first this year. Kelly Miller and Tricia Cole will be joining us on the bus, but everyone is welcomed to join us at Spring Forest. We will be leaving MDE at 9:00, and we should be returning by 11:45. As a special treat, the 4th grade teachers will be treating our terrific students to a pizza party upon our return.
Junior Achievement Starts This Week
I want to say a special thank you in advance to all the parents who are making Junior Achievement in our classroom possible this year. As most of you know, JA is a parent-led class that allows our students to have a hands-on introduction to market economics and entrepreneurship. We will be having classes all week during the 8-8:45 hour.
