The Great Smoky Mountains is a National Park located in the eastern United States, in the states on Tennessee and North Carolina. They are located in the chain of the Appalachian Mountains. The elevations range from 876 feet to 6,643 feet.
Mountains
There are many tall mountains located in the range, but some of the them stand out more than others. The highest point is Clingmans Dome, at 6,643 feet tall. Other peaks include Mount Guyot, Mount Le Conte, Mount Chapman, and Old Black.

Activities
Camping
There are many activities you can do in the Smoky Mountains. One activity you can do is camping. There is so much wilderness and you can camp either at a park campground or explore your own places.
Hiking
Another activity you can do is go hiking. There are over 800 miles of trails throughout the park, and there are trails for all people, whether experienced or a rookie.
Horseback Riding
One very exciting activity is horseback riding. There are plenty of horse trails to ride on. If you don't own a horse, you can rent one from a stable.
Waterfalls
There are so many breathtaking waterfalls in the park, it is one of the many reasons people come to the Smoky Mountains. Most of the waterfalls are located right off the main trails, so they are very easy to get to. Be sure to come and see some of the amazing waterfalls!
Wildlife Viewing
There are plenty of wildlife animals in the mountains. It you want to see black bears, elk, or white-tailed deer, then come to the park and check out all of these animals.
