Exeter Public Library
CURBSIDE PICKUP
Beginning May 26, 2020, the Exeter Public Library will provide safe, contactless curbside book pickup, by appointment only, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10:00 AM
and 2:00 PM.
Library users can call the Exeter Public Library at 294-4109 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. or email curbside@exeterpubliclibrary.org to request up to 5 books per patron and schedule a pick-up appointment. Please have your library card number ready to include in your call or email.
Upon arrival at the library for your assigned appointment, please call our curbside line
at 294-4796 to alert staff, who will then deliver the materials to your car outside. Patrons must remain in their cars to maintain the recommended safe distance between people during COVID-19 outbreak as recommended by the RI Department of Health and the CDC.
Appointments will be assigned every 10 minutes between the hours of 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Please send one family representative to the library, if possible, to limit the number of people near the library buildings.
Library users must not go to the library without an appointment and staff cannot accommodate unplanned visits. The library building remains closed to all visitors.
Returns are accepted in the outside return bin and will not be accepted by staff.
Please note that any returned items will be held in quarantine for 72 hours within the library before they are checked in.
Due dates on all materials at all Rhode Island libraries in the Ocean State Libraries system have been extended statewide to July 1, 2020.
If you need a library card, you can go to https://www.oslri.org/application to apply for a temporary digital library card which will be replaced with a physical library card when public libraries reopen.
